Sutton Spas have once again smashed the Great Midlands Fun Run’s 8.5 mile course, whilst pushing a RotoSpas. The five to six person DuraSpa made another appearance this year as the team faced the elements to push the spa along the trail around their local Sutton Park in Birmingham, on the 2nd June 2019.
Sutton Spas chosen charity this year was again, Starlight Children’s Foundation, who Sutton Spas work closely with throughout the year. Starlight Children’s Foundation, are a charity who work to brighten the lives of seriously and terminally ill children; Sutton Spas supply RotoSpas to children who’s wish is to have a spa.
Amongst runners (young and old), dogs, bbq’s being pushed and cooked on and all kinds of fancy dress, Sutton Spas managed to complete the course within two hours and eight minutes. Sutton Spas sported a Hawaiian theme for this year’s run, as they said “Aloha” to a few herds of cows along the way too!
Karl Rowntree, the Technical Director of RotoSpa, the UK’s original manufacturer of spas, explains, “we’re so happy to see our RotoSpa dealers supporting various charities whilst also taking part in great community events. The fact that the DuraSpa was pushed along the trail shows just how durable and portable a RotoSpa is!”.
Sutton Spas would like to thank all of the team who got involved with the event, along with all of the people who donated to the sponsorship of their run.
